|I bought these as a quick fix to replace an old single speaker a guy had in the truck I bought 51 3100, but when I received it, I found that a previous owner had done an excellent job of reworking the dash for a newer stereo head that was in it. The 7 1/4 center-to-center of the original radio knobs was not the same as the 5 3/4 new stereo knobs. Couldnt tell it wasnt the original knock out till I looked up under the dash and saw a new plate and fiberglass repair-oops! Anyway, it was an easy fix with a porta-bandsaw and my welder. I just moved the tabs to the right spot and used the speakers on the newer stereo. They sound pretty tinny, so if your looking for great sound, get something else. But they fit the spot, and are better than the old original, and are also in stereo. Ill add better speakers later, but for now, and for under $34 bucks, theyll do. But if you dont have the original knockouts or have a new stereo, check your center-to-center measurements on your knobs first, otherwise youll be sending them back, or modifying them.|
