Line-A-Tank Quick Drying Internal Fuel Tank Liner. Used for sealing small holes and rust inside of gas tank. Protects and prolongs the life of automotive fuel tanks. Sold in 1 quart cans. Larger tanks may benefit from using 2 cans.
STEP # 1: Remove fuel from tank and ventilate thoroughly.
STEP # 2: Remove tank from vehicle.
STEP # 3: Remove gauge sender, vent line fittings, mail line screen and quick drain.
STEP # 4: Rinse tank with Metal Prep, Toluene, Xylene, or Solvent 100 and then let air dry for at least 30 minutes at room temperatures.
STEP # 5: Plug holes with pipe plugs. Cover gauge hole with tape or old gauge plate.
STEP # 6: Pour Line-A-Tank compound into the tank. cover cap hole with old cap or tape. Thoroughly slosh inside of tank by rotating tank in all directions to completely coat the inside of the tank with Line-A-Tank compound. Leave main line plug slightly loose to relieve pressure build-up during sloshing.
STEP # 7: Remove quick drain plug and drain thoroughly and air dry for one hour.
STEP # 8: Reinstall plug and repeat by applying a second coat of Line-A-Tank.
STEP # 9: Let tank dry overnight if possible. If you use an air nozzle and circulate air through the tank drying time will be reduced to apporximately 3-4 hours. (Do not exceed 1 1/2 lbs air pressure)
